South Africa’s head coach Gary Kirsten has warned his side to expect an England backlash in the second Test match which starts at Headingley on Thursday 2nd August.

The Proteas, 15/8 with bookmaker to win in Leeds, will take over as the number one ranked Test side if they secure a series victory in England and took a massive step towards doing so by winning the first Test by an innings and 12 runs.
However, Kirsten is wary of thinking that the hosts have been dealt a fatal blow, saying: “We’ve got a great respect for the England cricket team. We know they will try and bounce back.
“We’re not going to take anything for granted.”
While Kirsten and co have few problems to deal with, England must consider whether to make changes for Headingley, with seamers Steven Finn and Grham Onions possible options.
England’s bowlers took just two wickets in the entire match at The Oval, as South Africa racked up 637-3 declared in their only innings.
