William Buick is in little doubt that Aidan O’Brien’s Camelot will win next month’s Derby at Epsom.
However, he accepts that Bonfire, who won the Dante at York last week, will push Camelot hard.
Camelot is 8/11 with bookmaker to win the Derby while Bonfire can be backed at 11/2.
Buick said: “After such a solid performance I’d certainly have been fancying Bonfire’s chances at Epsom on 2nd June but I’d be extremely concerned about Camelot. I’m afraid he still looks a massive hurdle for any horse to overcome.”
