EURO 2012

The EURO-2012 unofficial mascot competition was launched in Ukraine in November 2010. Main requirement of the organizers – the winning mascot had to embody representative of Ukrainian fauna. The competition proved to be highly popular and got more than 250 entries from different parts of the country as well as overseas – foxes, pigs, bulls, horses and even fairy-tale dragon participated.

Zozulica is a much talked project, which is nowadays competing to be named the Euro-2012 unofficial mascot. The competition results are to be announced by information centre Ukraine-2012 already this April.

The idea of the book, consisting of 2012 good luck wishes from football supporters of different parts of Ukraine, was initiated by the team behind Zozulica project (unofficial Euro 2012 mascot) and supported by information centre “Ukraine 2012” together with publishing house “Summit-book”.

The first championship match will start on 8 June 2012 at 18:0 (6pm) at the National Stadium in Warsaw. It will be preceded by ceremony of opening the championships.
