Tottenham vs Burnley

Tottenham must put an immediate stop to their Wembley woes starting against Burnley on Sunday if they are to mount a credible Premier League title challenge. Spurs’ struggles at the national stadium continued last weekend as champions Chelsea scored a late winner thanks to goalkeeper Hugo Lloris’s mistake to record a 2-1 win, ensuring their rivals opening match at their season-long residence ended in defeat.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side have now won just two of the 11 games they have played at the new Wembley since its 2007 re-opening, and need to find a solution with the 2017-18 campaign well underway.

That solution may well turn up this weekend, in the form of a Burnley side that had an atrocious away record last season as they failed to win a single top-flight game away from their home ground of Turf Moor. However, their shock 3-2 opening-day win at Chelsea will have filled Sean Dyche’s Clarets with confidence. Their fifteen million pound new boy, former Leeds United Striker Chris Wood, will be desperate to prove himself at the highest level and get off the mark if, as expected, he makes his Premier League debut.

Manchester United vs Leicester City

Saturday’s late game will see Manchester United look to continue their perfect start to the season with another win at home against Leicester as they look to further their ambitions of winning the Premier League for the first time since 2013.

The ‘Red Devils’ have had an impressive start to the season after consecutive 4-0 wins, and have shown no signs of slowing down with the re-signing of the ruthless striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic this week, who once recovered from injury will play alongside the league’s current top scorer Romelu Lukaku. Lukaku, who has 3 goals in 2 appearances, will be looking to add further to his tally again at Old Trafford this weekend.

Unlike United, Leicester’s start to the season has been a mixed one. After leading twice against Arsenal in the league opener, the ‘Foxes’ eventually lost 4-3 before picking up a 2-0 win against Brighton. However, the form of Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez has been a highlight for coach Craig Shakespeare as the pair have displayed form reminiscent of their title winning season. If Leicester have any chance of picking up points against the league leaders, the pair will have to be at their best.

Bet on Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor!

By approximately 8.55pm (PDT) at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas the bell will ring to mark the opening round of the most hyped fight in history. The growth of the UFC into a global sporting giant that competes with traditional boxing in the realm of combat has left many asking the same question: “Who is a better fighter, the boxer who settles things with only his fists or the all-body enabled UFC fighter?”
The match-up between Floyd “Money” Mayweather and Conor “Notorious” McGregor may be the best chance we get to see this answered; a pedigree boxing world champion with an impeccable 49-0 record, and a UFC fighter who has been world champion across two weight divisions. Both the best in their respective rings.
Whilst Mayweather has long been considered the favourite, it is the initial strike capability of McGregor that worries the bookmakers. To counter this, Mayweather is widely regarded as one of the best defensive fighters ever. The fitness of the bulkier McGregor is also in question, as he has shown signs of weariness in the ring during bouts where he is challenged at length. Whereas at 40 years old, Mayweather’s renowned stamina may be challenged simply by his sheer age.
