England remain confident that both Ian Bell and Stuart Broad will be fit enough to feature in the first Test against Pakistan in Dubai.
Bell had to be taken for what was described as a precautionary X-ray after being struck on the left wrist at nets.
England, who are 7/4 with bookmaker to win the first Test, should have Broad in their ranks after he was able to take part in practice on Monday despite being hit on the foot in the nets 24 hours earlier.
England could opt to use a second spinner in the Test which Pakistan can be backed at 3/1 to win.
