Cricket – Finn given Swann backing

Steven Finn will be a valuable addition to the England side to take on South Africa in the second Test at Headingley according to Graeme Swann.

Paceman Finn could be drafted in if England make changes following their innings and 12-run loss to the Proteas at The Oval last week and Swann has no doubt that the Middlesex giant will not let anyone down.
He told reporters: “Finny is probably the unluckiest man in world cricket not to be regularly playing, you could argue that he is up there with the best bowlers in the world.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if he got a go here. Instead of whom? I don’t know and what the make-up might be, but if he does play I think he will do a good job.”
Finn is 7/2 with bookmaker to be England’s leading first innings bowler at Headingley if he does feature, with the 23-year-old having taken 56 wickets in 14 Test appearances to date.
