Steve Kean insists he will still be in charge of Blackburn at the turn of the year, despite seeing his side drop to the bottom of the Premier League following their 2-1 home defeat to Bolton.
The loss ensured Rovers, who are now 2/5 to be relegated with bookmaker, will prop up the table at Christmas. Kean was the subject of abuse from the club’s furious fans during and after the game but reiterated he still has the full support of the club’s owners.
However, Rovers face a difficult task as they bid to become only the second Premier League side to be bottom at Christmas and avoid the drop into the Championship.
“I would be 100% shocked if I was sacked. I still expect to be in charge for our next game,” said Kean.
“I hope I can still win the fans over and I can only do that by winning games.”
