Formula 1 – Hamilton happy with pace

McLaren ace Lewis Hamilton was happy with his pace after topping the timesheets during a rain-hit opening two practice sessions for the Korean Grand Prix.

Hamilton, 10/3 with bookmaker to win Sunday’s race, was just over a tenth of a second ahead of team-mate Jenson Button, as McLaren dominated in inclement conditions at Yeongam.
However, Hamilton was wary of reading too much into the results, as he expects world champion Sebastian Vettel to be the man to beat in his Red Bull, both in qualifying and in the race.
He commented: “I think we are quick, the car feels good and Jenson showed in the last race that we can be competitive.
“I have no doubts that we can challenge Red Bull, but whether or not we can out-qualify them, which hasn’t been done all year, will be interesting.”
