Luke Donald admits he needs to win a Major in 2012, which he is 3/1 with bookmaker to do, if he is to be accepted as the complete player.
Donald topped the money lists on both the European and PGA Tours this year and is currently the world number one.
After being named as the PGA Tour’s player of the year, Donald said: “I think there will always be a little bit of an asterisk against my name until I win one, but I’ll be trying very hard to correct that.
“Obviously something that is missing from my resume is a Major and something I’ll continue to concentrate on trying to focus my efforts on.”
Donald is 14/1 to win next year’s Open Championship at Royal Lytham & St Annes.
