Wigan Warriors coach Michael Maguire has backed his players to bounce back from the play-off loss to arch rivals St Helens and book their place at Old Trafford.

The defeat means that the Warriors must not lose another game if they are to defend their Super League crown. They will next take on Catalan Dragons and are 1/5 with bookmaker to record a victory on home turf.
“We were in this situation last year so there aren’t any alarm bells ringing,” said Maguire, who is set to depart Wigan for South Sydney Rabbitohs at the end of the season.
“Obviously we’d have much preferred to win, but Saints played very well and deserved it. We’ll dust ourselves down though and prepare for our next game.”
And Maguire is confident his players will not be distracted by their poor record against the French outfit this season.
“Catalans have obviously done the double over us this year, and we can’t ignore that. But I have every faith in my players and they’ll need no incentive to get themselves up for this game, regardless of the results earlier this season.”
