Hull FC centre Tom Briscoe hopes to feature in Saturday’s Four Nations Final between England and Australia at Elland Road.
The 21-year-old was outstanding in the weekend win over New Zealand, crossing for the crucial opening try, as England, 7/2 with bookmaker to beat the Kangaroos, won 28-6.
“Obviously it’s nice to be able to enjoy a decent game in front of your own fans but it was the last match before the final, so hopefully I’ll have done enough to keep my place,” said Briscoe.
Australia are available at 2/9 to win the tournament after beating England 36-20 in the group stage.
