Rugby League – Rangi chases improvement

Rangi Chase says he must improve ahead of England’s Four Nations opener against Wales on Saturday, despite being named his side’s man of the match on his debut.

England, who are 6/1 with bookmaker to win the Four Nations, defeated France 32-18 in their final warm-up match in Avignon on Friday but did concede two late tries and Chase says that lessons will need to be learned if they are to be successful this autumn.
“It was a bit of a mixed day for me. There were some things I did well but other things that I feel I didn’t do quite as well,” said the Castleford star.
“There’s a lot for me to work on and I was a little bit surprised to be named man of the match.”
The game against the Welsh on Saturday is followed by a clash on Bonfire Night at Wembley against Australia. England then travel to Hull’s KC Stadium a week later to face New Zealand.
