Warrington coach Tony Smith believes his side’s recent trip to Australia will hand them a boost ahead of the new Super League campaign.
Warrington saw off NRL side South Sydney Rabbitohs 34-28 to complete their trip to Australia and Smith believes their pre-season preparations will provide a boost ahead of their season opener at Hull next Sunday.
“This trip has been massive for the club, and it has exceeded all my expectations. The way the players have handled themselves has been unbelievably professional. It’s exceeded anything I have been involved with before,” said Smith.
Warrington are 11/4 with bookmaker to secure Grand Final glory in 2012 and 2/1 to finish as regular season winners for a second successive campaign.
