Conor O’Shea is excited by the journey ahead for Harlequins as they prepare for the Aviva Premiership final against Leicester Tigers this weekend.
The success of the Twickenham Stoop outfit, who are 2/1 to win the final with bookmaker, has surprised many this season.
Their attacking style and academy policy are finally reaping rewards and O’Shea believes the club are beginning a new era.
“My belief is that we’re only starting the journey here that can be very special over the next few years and that’s what should excite everyone,” he said.
“Win or lose on Saturday, we’ll be written off as a flash in the pan and we’ll prove people wrong. If we win, we’ll have to back it up as that’s what great teams do and that’s all I care about.”
