This week we are proud to bring you some fantastic selections of heavyweight football fixtures including; the Madrid Derby and the Capital One Cup Final. Let’s begin in the Spanish capital. Having only won once with 4 draws and 4 defeats in their last 9 Madrid Derby encounters, Real Madrid seem to be at a  disadvantage when compared to their city rivals Atlético. However, Los Blancos (3rd) are still favourites to take all 3 points at the Santiago Bernabéu and replace Atlético (2nd) in the league table – according to […]

An anti-discrimination football exhibition prepared by the ‘NEVER AGAIN’ Association has been opened in the main hall of the Polish Parliament on 19 February 2014. The opening ceremony was hosted by Deputy Speaker Wanda Nowicka, Poland’s leading campaigner against discrimination and for women’s rights. The exhibition was brought to the Parliament on the initiative of Robert Biedron MP, the founder of Campaign Against Homophobia and a longtime ally of the ‘NEVER AGAIN’ Association. Since autumn 2013, Robert Biedron is the General Rapporteur on LGBT rights in the Parliamentary Assembly of […]

Warsaw’s inhabitants stood in solidarity with their African neighbours who were targeted by racists. The ‘NEVER AGAIN’ Association, together with Projekt: Polska, organized a civic action to show solidarity and paint over large racist graffiti that appeared by the entrances of the African restaurant La Mama and a nearby African shop. Both sites are located in the Muranow district, known as the area of the Warsaw Jewish Ghetto during the Nazi occupation, and they are near the Polonia Warsaw football ground. The La Mama restaurant is a key meeting point […]

Like it was recently at Euro 2012, during the Olympics almost every Pole will become a coach again. We will follow the efforts of our athletes who will be striving to be successful at Olympics London 2012 and win medals. And if we talk about the medals, let’s consider our odds. What will it be like? How many medals will the Poles win? In which sports do we have the best chances to win gold, silver and bronze disks? We should start with our volleyball team. The volleyball should have […]

Brendan Rodgers should have an easy first competitive game in charge of Liverpool after the Reds were drawn to play either FK Renova from FYR Macedonia or FC Gomel of Belarus in the third qualifying round of the Europa League.

Germany were already formidable enough at Euro 2012 but they will be enlivened all the more by their rout of Greece. In mid-campaign, Joachim Löw’s side became carefree as they relished the fun to be had after half-time. Greece did not lack pride and there was a second goal for them in the 89th minute when Dimitris Salpigidis stroked home a penalty but it was a rare moment of inconvenience for the victors. The opening by Germany was full of confidence as much as talent. It hardly seemed to matter […]

Those who had expected a hit, must be disappointed. After a weak game in Donetsk the French achieved a draw against England scoring 1:1 and it is difficult to believe, that those teams will be able to reach the European championships semifinal. If somebody considered the French medal candidates, after the yesterday’s match he knows that he was wrong. The coach Laurent Blanc was right while asking after eliminations not to expect wonders from him. There were moments when his players didn’t seem to be a football team at all. […]

Co-hosts are hoping Borussia Dortmund’s Lukasz Piszczek, Jakub Blaszczykowski and Robert Lewandowsk can reproduce their club success on the international stage It is a paradox of football that the hosts of a tournament can enjoy a low profile. Attention will, of course, soar when Poland take the field against Greece in the opening match of Euro 2012, but Franciszek Smuda’s side can be pleased that they have only provided meagre information for their opponents. The same can be said of the co-hosts Ukraine, yet it is Poland who could be […]

Goalkeeper Joe Hart will need to be at his best if England are to progress at Euro 2012, according to manager Roy Hodgson, with the Three Lions 9/4 with bookmaker to reach the semi-finals.
