The main sports arena in Ukraine, which will host the finals of the Euro 2012 soccer tournament, now has a logo. Soccer fans could enter a contest to have their logo chosen to represent the tourney. The winner is designer and soccer fan Sergey Melnik, who lives in Dubai. The logo is supposed to represent the inside of the stadium. UEFA-recommended accommodation centres are approached as basis for individual national teams for Euro 2012. The drawing of groups for the finals will take place in Kiev on December 2. Each participant of the finals has the right to point out a single accommodation centre in Poland and Ukraine and two substitute centres. The UEFA-recommended accommodation centre list, published on October 1, 2010, includes 17 Ukrainian and 21 Polish centres. On 1 March online registration of tickets for Euro 2012 has begun and on the same day the UEFA will announce prices, stages concerning the pre-sale of tickets and time of their implementation. Tickets are sold exclusively one the Internet. Not all seats will be available. Most tickets have been reserved for VIPs and members of football associations. As UEFA president Michel Platini warns Ukraine that time is running out to complete its Euro 2012 preparations, the co-hosts announced today the opening date for the much-delayed Lviv stadium. The Uefa Executive Committee has approved the official match schedule for the Euro 2012 finals between June 8 and July 1, 2012 in Poland and Ukraine.
