The ukrainian capital decided to get rid of the press for Euro 2012 in a mass dismantle of the places for sale of newspapers and magazines. The Kyiv city state administration has already removed  “Press” 14 kiosks from the streets. The corresponding order was prepared in connection with preparation for Euro 2012. This was reported in The Association of Ukrainian Press. Illegally installed kiosks must be demolished. This refers to kiosks placed recently in the 1.5 km zone of the football championship, as well as near the Metro and monuments. […]

According to the Euro 2012 Director  Martin Cullen, Ukraine has undergone significant changes during preparations for the European Football Championship. Silesian Stadium in Chorzow is the largest existing sports stadium in Poland. From 1993 it functions as the national stadium for Polish football representation. The stadium is a part of Regional Centre of Culture and Sport in Chorzow, located near the border of Chorzow and Katowice. The EURO-2012 unofficial mascot competition was launched in Ukraine in November 2010. Main requirement of the organizers – the winning mascot had to embody representative of Ukrainian fauna. The competition proved to be highly popular and got more than 250 entries from different parts of the country as well as overseas – foxes, pigs, bulls, horses and even fairy-tale dragon participated.
