UEFA-recommended accommodation centres are approached as basis for individual national teams for Euro 2012. The drawing of groups for the finals will take place in Kiev on December 2. Each participant of the finals has the right to point out a single accommodation centre in Poland and Ukraine and two substitute centres. A new report from a Warsaw based anti-racism group documents the number of racist and discriminatory incidents in the host countries for the 2012 European Championships. The report called ‘Hateful’ has been produced by the ‘NEVER AGAIN’ Association in cooperation with Football Against Prejudices (Ukraine), as part of the FARE network Eastern European Monitoring Centre. As UEFA president Michel Platini warns Ukraine that time is running out to complete its Euro 2012 preparations, the co-hosts announced today the opening date for the much-delayed Lviv stadium. Lviv city authorities confirmed it will open next August, reports BSANNA News. During Euro 2012 Gdańsk will have a joint group with Poznan. If the draw was held today, Spain or the Netherlands would play here. The championship involves 16 teams divided into four groups. Sunday’s draw for the Euro 2012 Championships qualifying competition was finished. Each team in the qualifying groups will play one another on a home and away basis, with matches taking place up to October 2011. The nine group winners and the best runner-up qualify directly for the final tournament. The European Football Union announced on Wednesday a division into six baskets before eliminations of the 2012 European Championships in Poland and Ukraine. The ceremony will be held on 7 February 2010 in the Congress Hall in Warsaw.
