After a break in live-audience football games caused by the epidemic, racist slogans and banners have returned to stadiums. The ‘NEVER AGAIN’ Association noted a surge in activity of those who use football to manifest their endorsement of Janusz Walus, a Polish-born far-right activist serving a life sentence for a racist murder in the Republic of South Africa. During a top flight match between teams Lechia Gdansk and Legia Warszawa (15 July), hooligans from Gdansk again displayed a banner with Walus’s name and picture and the slogan ‘Nothing will break […]

вик услугиSource: UEFA Euro 2020 via Facebook Last summer, Portugal shocked the world in the European Championship final as Eder, a relatively unknown quantity on the international stage, scored an injury-time winner to shock host nation France. If truth be told, it wasn’t a memorable tournament – it certainly wasn’t as exciting or entertaining as Euro 2012, held across both Ukraine and Poland. Spain were the dominant force in international football back then, having won both Euro 2008 and a first World Cup crown in 2010. Therefore, it wasn’t exactly […]

The management of the national team of Sweden began on Friday a scrutinized planning of every day of the coming championships. Preparations include even participations in the finals, which will take pales on July 1 in Kiev. “We will plan in smallest details each of our 38 days of the championships, starting from 24 May, when the team will start grouping until the finals. The fact is that we play in group matches in Kiev and there will also be a decisive match of the tournament. This is very important […]

National Stadium has already become a part of the landscape of Warsaw. Tourists at the Castle Square (Plac Zamkowy) are taking photos with the Stadium almost as often as with the column of King Sigismund. Construction of the Stadium ends on November 29. That day the general contractor, a consortium of companies under the command of Hydrobudowa, will finish works and the operator of the stadium, the National Sports Centre, will formally became its user. The user will be like a client of a developer who bought a house in […]

The ‘NEVER AGAIN’ Association co-organized the high-profile ‘Poland for All’ event together with the Polish Foreign Ministry, the Ministry of Sports and Tourism, the City of Warsaw and the Polish Association of Former Players. It took place at the Warsaw Agrykola stadium on 14 October. The event formed a part of the Football Against Racism in Europe Action Weeks. One of the event’s attractions was a match involving players of Warsaw’s multicultural Ethnoleague and Polish football stars, including legends such as the former internationals Dariusz Dziekanowski, Radoslaw Majdan and Roman […]

On this day the largest stadium in Poland will be opened for the first time to the inhabitants of Warsaw and all people wanting to see the interior of the Stadium. During the walk, everyone will be able to enter the pitch through the passage and see the interior of the Stadium – the two rings of stands for 58 thousand spectators, the 70-metre central spire or the large-size LED screens. On this […]

Construction has been completed on a stadium in Gdansk, northern Poland that is to be one of the venues for the Euro 2012 football championships, officials said on Tuesday. The stadium was given the green light nearly three weeks after its completion deadline of July 1. It will have its grand opening on August 6. Delays in building the Gdansk stadium forced officials to move a June 9 friendly between Poland and France to Warsaw. The stadium is one of four Polish venues that will host matches at Euro 2012, […]
