EURO 2021

Ukraine Stadium in Lvov is a new object which will be built specially for Euro 2012. At present design works are in the final phase, and according to plan its building is expected to be finished in 2009. This modern stadium is expected to be the main element of a large shopping-show centre. A capacity of stand is estimated at over 30 thousand seats. During the European Football Championships in the stadium in Lvov- according to official offer of Poland and Ukraine- some group matches are expected to be played.

Common border checks, simplification of checks procedures, as well as increase of the safety of fans are joint projects of Kiev and Warsaw, which are being prepared for the EURO 2012. The projects are being prepared by internal affairs ministries in both countries in the framework of a working group of Euro 2012. On 1 March online registration of tickets for Euro 2012 has begun and on the same day the UEFA will announce prices, stages concerning the pre-sale of tickets and time of their implementation. Tickets are sold exclusively one the Internet. Not all seats will be available. Most tickets have been reserved for VIPs and members of football associations. The Uefa Executive Committee has approved the official match schedule for the Euro 2012 finals between June 8 and July 1, 2012 in Poland and Ukraine. In Poland, Wroclaw and Poznan will host three group stage matches, while Gdansk will stage three group stage matches and a quarter-final. Wrocław, despite the delay in construction of the stadium not only will not lose the possibility to organize Euro 2012, but apart from three group matches it may obtain right to play one of the championships quarter-final meetings. Preparations for the Euro 2012 football tournament in Poland and Ukraine are well on track, the ruling body UEFA said on Friday with nine days left until the qualifying group draw. The February 7 draw in Warsaw is the first big event around the tournament which created various problems in the early stages after the two Eastern European nations were elected hosts in 2007. ‘Preparations for Euro 2012 are going well,’ UEFA general secretary Gianni Infantino told the body’s website after an executive board meeting on Thursday in Malta.
