Last week UEFA, the governing soccer body in Europe, finally announced the four Polish cities that will host Euro 2012 championship games. Of the six candidate cities named two years ago, Warsaw, Poznań, Wrocław and Gdańsk were chosen. Global financial crisis may make the job of preparing for the Euro 2012 football championship easier for Poland as demand for unrelated construction eases and prices drop, a senior official said on Friday. In Lvov began preparation works at the Euro-2012 stadium construction site in Striyskaya-Koltsevaya street. By the end of September the Austrian Alpine company will equip building site, install temporary electrification and water supply. It’ll also take off the fertile soil layer. In keeping with works schedule the builders will prepare pits for base filling.
