Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney is relishing the prospect of an FA Cup fourth round showdown with Liverpool at Anfield.
Rooney was in fine form at the weekend as United won 3-2 at Manchester City in round three, before being handed yet another tough assignment, with the Red Devils 11/2 with bookmaker to win the FA Cup this season.
“What a draw for the next round. Another big game. Can’t wait for it already,” Rooney posted on Twitter.
United and Liverpool met at the third round stage of the competition last year, with an early Ryan Giggs penalty deciding the outcome of a typically fiery encounter at Old Trafford which also saw Steven Gerrard sent off.
Chelsea have been installed as 4/1 favourites to win the FA Cup, having demolished Portsmouth 4-0 at Stamford Bridge on Sunday in a repeat of the 2010 Wembley final.
