Soccer – Kompany targets multiple titles

Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany, whose side are 11/10 to defend the league title next season, is eyeing a dynasty of Premier League success at the Etihad Stadium.

Kompany recently put pen to paper on a new six-year contract with the Citizens and did so in the expectation that they will be challenging for honours on a consistent basis in the next few years.
“I’ve signed a six-year deal, so there are six possible titles within those years,” the Belgium international said. “So you know what? I want to get them all.
“It probably won’t happen, but we’ll see in six years’ time. I’ll try everything for that.”
City won the league title for the first time since 1968 last season, doing so in the most dramatic possible fashion as they scored twice in injury time against QPR to win 3-2 and edge out city rivals Manchester United on goal difference.
