European champions and FA Cup holders Chelsea have been urged to challenge for success on all fronts by midfielder John Obi Mikel.
The Blues, 5/1 with bookmaker to win the Premier League this season, finished down in sixth place in the top-flight last term and Mikel does not want to see a repeat of that situation.
A determined Mikel said: “The top four is not the target, the most important thing is to win the trophy. We want to regain the trophy.
“We (also) want to defend the Champions League, we want to win the Premier League and, hopefully, we want to challenge for every cup.”
Chelsea open their Premier League campaign with a tricky trip to the DW Stadium to take on Wigan Athletic on Sunday, with the Blues having been held to a 1-1 draw by the Latics last season.
Twelve months earlier the Blues romped to a 6-0 success, while in 2009/10 Wigan recorded a 3-1 win over Chelsea on home turf.
