Soccer – Redknapp rules out Chelsea role

Tottenham Hotspur boss Harry Redknapp is adamant that he has no interest in the managerial vacancy at Chelsea.

The Blues are searching for a new manager after axing Andre Villas-Boas on Sunday following a 1-0 loss at West Brom, although Roberto Di Matteo has been placed in temporary charge of the side until the end of the season.
Redknapp, who has also been linked with the England manager’s job, has been suggested as a potential replacement for Villas-Boas by some sections of the media.
However, the veteran manager said in the build-up to the FA Cup fifth round replay against Stevenage, a game Spurs are 1/5 with bookmaker to win: “It’s a dream job for somebody. It’s a club you can win a championship at because the owner spares no expense. If you do well, the sky’s the limit.
“(But) it would be difficult. I wouldn’t be able to come back to North London so I’ll pass on that one.”
Tottenham can be backed at 12/5 to win the FA Cup this season.
