Bayern Munich and Germany midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger has his sights set on success for both club and country in 2012.
Schweinsteiger is excited by the prospect of this season’s Champions League final being played in Munich at the Allianz Arena and believes that Bayern, 20/1 with bookmaker, can be crowned champions of Europe.
The talented playmaker then hopes to help Germany (4/1) to Euro 2012 victory in Poland and Ukraine, with Joachim Low’s side having already qualified with a 100 per cent record in Group A.
Schweinsteiger told Bild: “I have a goal for this season and that is to win the Champions League in Munich and then become European champions in Poland and Ukraine.
“To win this double title with Bayern and the national team now seems more possible than in recent years.”
