Manchester City star Yaya Toure feels his side can win multiple titles this season.
The Premier League champions secured their first piece of silverware of the new campaign on Sunday as they saw off Chelsea to win the Community Shield.
Toure is keen for City to defend their Premier League crown, but the midfielder also wants his side to challenge for European honours this season.
“The lads are already excited about the Champions League. We need to win a couple of cups this season – it will be tough but I have a lot of confidence in the squad,” said Toure.
“Belief is very important. Now all the lads know what it is like to lift the trophy at the end of the season. Last season gave us a lot of confidence.
“If you want to be champions you have to start thinking about the next year. You don’t need to stay sitting on your backside – you have to continue, to be a repeat winner.”
City are 5/4 to win the Premier League with bookmaker and 13/2 to come out on top in the Champions League.
