Ecuador international winger Antonio Valencia believes Manchester United can still win three trophies this season.
Valencia, who scored a goal in the 5-0 Boxing Day thrashing of Wigan Athletic despite playing as a makeshift right-back, has admitted that the exits from the Champions League and Carling Cup before Christmas were embarrassing but has backed United to bounce back.
United are 5/4 with bookmaker to successfully defend their Premier League crown this season and are 13/2 to claim the Europa League. They also face an FA Cup third round clash with Manchester City in January.
Valencia admits: “The biggest blow was the Champions League because we are a big club and we are expected to be fighting to win the competition, not just qualifying out of the group stages.
“We are going into games with a determined attitude because we’ve got to win something, whether it is the Premier League, Europa League or FA Cup.”
