Soccer- Villas-Boas eyeing Old Trafford victory

Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas has defended his team selection for Tuesday’s 2-0 win over Bayer Leverkusen, admitting he had one eye on this weekend’s clash with Manchester United.

Villas-Boas opted to omit John Terry from the squad for the Champions League opener while Frank Lampard started on the bench and was happy with victory ahead of their trip to the league leaders, where his side can be backed at 14/1 with bookmaker to win 2-1.
“An international week has gone by, then we had Sunderland after two days and then, after another two days, a Champions League win against a very tough team. But I am pleased, particularly with good passing and fluency in the game.”
Villas-Boas will now focus his attention on taking on United, who are top of the Premier League table on goal difference with four wins from four games.
“We will go there to try to win it,” he said. “It’s going to be a very good early-season game.”
