Tennis – Harrison first up for Murray

Two-time beaten finalist Andy Murray will begin his quest for glory at the Australian Open with a meeting with world number 84 Ryan Harrison.

Murray, 5/1 with bookmaker to win the title in Melbourne, has lost in straight sets in the last two Australian finals, being thrashed first by Roger Federer and then Novak Djokovic – who is in Murray’s side of the draw this time around.
Murray heads to Melbourne in fine form after taking the honours at the Brisbane International and his link-up with new coach Ivan Lendl already seems to be working well.
Lendl said: “I think what is important is to focus on the long term and let results come to you. A player needs to mature and I believe Andy is getting there.”
Lendl lost his first four Grand Slam finals, before finding the winning formula to secure eight major titles during his own illustrious playing career.
