Tennis – Murray expecting ‘best tennis’

British number one Andy Murray is expecting to play his best tennis this season alongside new coach Ivan Lendl.

Murray, who is 9/2 with bookmaker to win the upcoming Australian Open, swept aside Alexandr Dolgopolov 6-1 6-3 in the final of the Brisbane International to give himself the perfect launch pad for his bid to finally land a first Grand Slam title.
Discussing Lendl, Murray told BBC Radio Five Live’s Sportsweek programme: “It’s very exciting. He is obviously one of the greatest players ever to play, so he should bring a lot of experience and a lot of knowledge.
“He’s an interesting character. He is very hard-working and is going to give me a great opportunity to play my best tennis this year.”
Murray is 7/4 to land his first-ever Grand Slam crown in 2012, having lost in three previous finals, including the last two Australian Open finals without winning a set.
