Tennis – Murray races into third round

Andy Murray outclassed French player Edouard Roger-Vasselin in straight sets to make it into the third round of the Australian Open.

The British number one, who is 5/1 with bookmaker to go all the way in the tournament, won comfortably 6-1 6-4 6-4 to set up a clash with Roger-Vasselin’s compatriot Michael Llodra on Saturday.
Murray was impressive, taking only 23 minutes to see out the first set, and was much improved from his first-round battle against Ryan Harrison.
“I served well today,” said the Scot. “I didn’t give him too many opportunities on my serve, which was important as he played well in the second and third sets.”
He added: “Llodra in the next round is tough, he’s a leftie and has a lot of flair so it’ll be a good match.”
